A Day Of Firsts

Today was a great day! Robert and Amanda invited us to the Alameda County Fair in Pleasington. I knew we would have fun but I didn't expect to have a day full of firsts. Here is all the things I did today that I have never done before.

1. Amanda showed us where she works at Wente Vineyards. We stopped and did the wine tasting. (Yum, yum)

2. We went to the Alameda County Fair. I had never been to it before but Jesse used to go when he was a kid. It brought back so many memories of when we used to go to the SJC Fair.

3. We when to the livestock auction for a few minutes. It was crazy! The man was talking so fast I could barley keep up with what was going on. But it was interesting.

4. There was a horse race track there!!!! I have only seen horse races in movies and on TV. I was so excited, (especially after watching Wildfire!) I begged them to go watch a race. We sat up in the bleachers for the first race.

5. After the first race Amanda decided to bet on a horse. Jesse shoved a dollar bill in my hand and told me to go bet on number 7. I was like "what?". So we went down and it was a $2 minimum bet. So I bet $2 on horse number 7 and Amanda bet $2 on horse number 2. Then we went down by the railing right by where the horses run by. I was so excited!
Here we are right by where the horses run by!!!

I took a picture of our horse as it rode by. (It's the one in the middle). Anyways, we didn't win, but had a blast!!!!!

6. Robert and Amanda wanted to stay for the Steve Holy concert. They pre-warned me that he was a country singer and I was like OK whatever. Well he was really good!!! We sat kinda far back but it was fun!!!

There's Steve in the middle singing!!!

So much adrenaline runs through your veins when you do new things. I had a blast today!!!! I realized that it is good to do things you have never done before. Heck, you might even like it enough to go against all that you have been fighting off your whole life and buy a country CD. (Yeah, yeah, I am going to buy his album).
